One of my favorite parts of being a therapist is helping people discover that they’re often far more understandable than they’ve been led to believe. Maybe you’ve been told you’re too emotional, too sensitive, or too much—or you wonder why you keep thinking, feeling, or relating in ways you wish you could change. I work with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, trauma, relationships, identity, sexuality, life transitions, self-esteem, perfectionism, and emotional overwhelm.
Therapy with me is collaborative, curious, and human. Rather than asking, “What’s wrong with me?” we’ll explore why your patterns make sense and what your mind and nervous system may have been trying to accomplish. I’ll help you become a better observer of yourself, understand what your patterns have protected, and decide what you still need.
I work with adolescents and adults individually, as well as couples and families, and welcome clients across diverse sexual orientations, gender identities, relationship structures, and backgrounds. My practice is LGBTQ+ affirming, sex-positive, and kink-affirming, and I welcome clients practicing or exploring consensual non-monogamy and other nontraditional relationship structures. I especially enjoy work involving relationships and family dynamics, sexuality and sexual wellness, identity exploration, trauma, neurodivergence, and the ways our relationships and earlier experiences continue to shape how we understand ourselves and connect with others.
I earned my Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from The Chicago School and am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Illinois. My graduate education provided a strong foundation in relational and systems-based therapy, and I continue to pursue advanced clinical training in areas that deepen my work with individuals, couples, and families. I recently completed advanced training through Adler University’s Sex Therapy Certification Program, which expanded my clinical competency in addressing relational, sexual, and identity-related concerns. My work is also shaped by trauma-informed, cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness, and somatic approaches, which I integrate based on each client’s individual needs and goals.
You don’t need to fit neatly into a diagnostic box—or have everything figured out—to deserve curiosity, compassion, and care. Therapy can be a place to think out loud, make connections, laugh, cry, challenge old assumptions, and experience the relief of realizing, “Oh. That actually makes sense.”
