Difficult life circumstances can sometimes challenge us and hold us back from the flourishing life we all long for. We will create a relationship of mutual respect, authenticity, compassion, and empathy and cultivate a non-judgmental, safe space where the therapeutic relationship will allow you to experience the power of healing. My professional training and life experiences will accompany you through your journey.
After eight years of practicing as a physician, a personal life experience took me on a journey of self-discovery that led to my present career, where I found my true passion and life purpose. I accompany patients to create a life of joy despite the challenges. This journey also made me curious and eager to explore biological and neurological ways of making therapy more effective, leading me to the Somatic Experiencing (SE) training. SE facilitates the patient to build skills, move forward, and create more selfacceptance and confidence through the wisdom of the nervous system and the physical body, where trauma remains stuck.
My practice is trauma-informed and patient-centered. I combine Somatic Experiencing, psychodynamics, attachment re-patterning, and family systems to accompany people to explore, process, and integrate past experiences that hold them back from the present moment and the life and relationships they want to create. I have extensive experience working with individuals from different cultural backgrounds, BIPOC and LGTBQ+.
I specialize in trauma/PTSD, developmental trauma, transgenerational trauma, chronic pain, chronic illness, anxiety, depression, stress, women’s issues, domestic violence, sexual abuse, immigration transitions, acculturation, parenting concerns, career transition, family conflict, relationship issues, racial identity spirituality, and self-esteem. I am fluent in English and Spanish.
